Job summary

Kelly Services in Dickson, TN is seeking a Production Associate to support manufacturing by assembling products, operating equipment, and performing quality inspections. This contract-to-hire role follows a Monday–Friday day shift (7:00 am–3:30 pm) with a pay rate of $18 per hour.

The position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team to meet production goals. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and the flexibility to adapt to safety standards

  • Keep work areas clean and safe.
  • Assist with setup, changeovers, and troubleshooting.
  • Meet productivity and attendance targets.
  • Support continuous improvement and attend team meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Location: 1 Premdor Dr., Dickson, TN 37055

Pay: $18/hr

Shift: Monday to Friday 7 am to 3:30 pm

Duration: Contract-to-Hire

Interview: No Interview. Manager will review resumes to approve offers.

The Production Associate is responsible for supporting manufacturing and production operations by assembling products, operating equipment, performing quality inspections, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team to meet production goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform assigned production, assembly, packaging, and material handling tasks.
  • Operate manufacturing equipment and machinery according to established procedures.
  • Inspect products to ensure they meet quality specifications and report defects or issues.
  • Follow work instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Load, unload, and move materials throughout the facility as needed.
  • Maintain production records and complete required documentation accurately.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
  • Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, and minor troubleshooting.
  • Meet productivity, quality, and attendance expectations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in team meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand basic work instructions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred
  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, assembly, or production experience.
  • Experience operating production equipment or industrial machinery.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions involving hands, wrists, and arms.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and manufacturing conditions, depending on the facility.
Work Environment

  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as designated.
  • May require overtime, weekends, or shift work based on production demands.
