How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Position Title: Production Associate (Cylinder Loader) - 2nd Shift
- Billerica, MA

The Cylinder Loader will be responsible for loading and unloading high-pressure and liquid cylinders on/off trucks in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The Loader will also ensure safety standards are met during all loading and unloading processes of cylinder gases per Airgas procedures.

Responsibilities:

1. Inspect cylinders prior to filling, following standard procedures as required by government, Airgas, and distributor standards.
2. Understand hazards of various gases; interpret cylinder labels and color-coding to identify size and contents.
3. Comply with all standards related to the safe handling of hazardous materials and cylinder gases.
4. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
5. Load/unload cylinders from vehicles, record types and quantities, and ensure proper securing.
6. Inspect returned cylinders for defects and perform minor maintenance; clean cylinders and remove old labels.
7. Segregate out-of-test and defective cylinders.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Are you a MATCH?

• HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum one year experience in manufacturing, filling, or loading preferred.
• Strong background in gas, welding, safety supply, or chemical industries preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• High attention to detail.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and calculating rates, ratios, and percentages.
