Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Production Associate for the Crater/Floater role on the 1st shift at our Orwigsburg, PA facility. The full-time position runs 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with overtime possible based on production demands.

You will build wooden crates and shipping containers, prepare finished products for shipment, and safely measure, cut, and assemble materials using hand and power tools. The role requires reliability, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Manufacturing, warehouse, or construction experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to read a tape measure and follow work instructions.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Dependable with excellent attendance and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble wooden crates, pallets, and shipping containers.
• Package and prepare finished products for shipment.
• Measure, cut, and assemble materials using hand and power tools.
• Verify product quantities and inspect finished products prior to packaging.
• Move materials and finished products throughout the facility using proper lifting techniques or material handling equipment.
• Float between departments as needed to assist with production, packaging, shipping, or other operational tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and work procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Job Details

Base pay rate is $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

1st Shift Hours: 6:00AM - 2:00PM, Monday - Friday (Overtime may be required based on production demands)

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble wooden crates, pallets, and shipping containers according to specifications.
• Package and prepare finished products for shipment to prevent damage during transportation.
• Measure, cut, and assemble materials using hand and power tools safely and accurately.
• Verify product quantities and inspect finished products prior to packaging.
• Move materials and finished products throughout the facility using proper lifting techniques or material handling equipment.
• Float between departments as needed to assist with production, packaging, shipping, or other operational tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and work procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout an 8-hour shift.

Frequently lift and carry up to 65 pounds.

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.

Must be able to safely operate hand tools and production equipment.
