Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is hiring Production Associates for our Corrugated facility in Huntsville, AL. Starting pay is $22.29/hr with potential to reach $25.64/hr, plus $1 per hour shift differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts. First two weeks may be on 1st shift, then assignment to 2nd or 3rd as needed.

Roles involve operating equipment, monitoring control systems, and maintaining safety standards in a fast-paced, loud production environment. Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• (1) one year of experience in a manufacturing, agricultural, warehouse, military environment, or similar environment OR completion of post high school education in manufacturing/industrial.
• Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart device.
• Experience working in the corrugated packaging industry.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets
• Monitor and/or entry into computer control systems
• Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production
• Perform basic asset care duties to include routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of work area
• Work as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals
• Operate and/or work around mobile equipment
• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day, in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment
