Job summary

PBS NewsHour in Arlington, VA seeks a Production Associate, Content Operations & Scheduling to support daily post-production operations and the delivery of PBS KIDS content across broadcast, VOD, livestreams, and podcasts.

You will coordinate feed schedules, monitor delivery with producers, ensure accessibility features, manage metadata, and liaise with Packaging, Station Services, and cross-department teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Experience in media, broadcast, streaming, production, or post-production.
• Familiarity with PBS KIDS content.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to identify and evaluate sensitive material.
• Proficiency with database programming.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with cross-departmental teams.
• Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily feed schedules and the broadcast rollout strategy.
• Maintain seasonal episode documents and transfer to distribution docs.
• Ensure accessibility-related programming meets counts and restrictions.
• Serve as liaison between PBS KIDS Distribution and Packaging teams.
• Monitor program delivery and ensure adherence to guidelines.
• Notify teams when deliverables arrive and ensure proper labeling.
• Manage the Media Operations Streaming Video Automation List.
• Assist producers with paperwork including Packaging Forms and UCCs.
• Serve as secondary contact for delivery and underwriting queries.
• Check accessibility features and re-ingest missing elements.
• Collect episode descriptions and curriculum information for metadata systems.
