Job summary

Electronic Systems Sioux Falls is seeking a Building 2 Production Associate to assemble, inspect, test, document and package PCBAs and related electronics. You will work on prototype, low-volume and production builds where quality, precision, and attention to detail matter.

You will use hand tools and fixtures, perform in-process and final inspections, and accurately document production data. Overtime on Saturdays may be required to meet customer demand and production needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of assembly experience.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and drawings.
• Ability to troubleshoot routine problems and escalate when needed.

Responsibilities

EXPEREIENCES PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE – BUILDING 2 | SHIFT 1 | MONDAY–FRIDAY, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (some 6am start times)

Typical Overtime: Saturday, 6:00 AM–11:00 AM
Additional overtime may be required based on customer demand and production needs.

PAY: $19.25/hour

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Building 2 Production Associate, you’ll use your electronics manufacturing experience to assemble, inspect, test, document, and package printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) and related electronic products. You’ll work on prototype, low-volume, and production builds where quality, precision, and attention to detail matter.

In this role, you will:

• Assemble and test PCBAs and electronic products using work orders, drawings, visual aids, and current work instructions.
• Insert and verify electronic components with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Safely use hand tools, fixtures, and production equipment to complete assembly work.
• Support prototype, low-volume, and production builds while meeting quality and productivity expectations.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using established quality standards and acceptance criteria.
• Test circuit boards and finished assemblies using designated equipment and procedures.
• Identify defects, damaged materials, incorrect components, and process abnormalities and elevate concerns when additional support is needed.
• Accurately document production, job-status, and quality information software platcorm and other designated systems.
• Package and label finished products according to company and customer requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and workflow.
• Share your knowledge, support coworkers, and assist with training associates as assigned.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following ESD, PPE, and other safety requirements.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of assembly experience
• Strong manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to perform detailed assembly work
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, work orders, drawings, and visual aids
• Ability to accurately assemble and inspect small components and distinguish colors
• Basic computer skills and ability to accurately enter production information
• Ability to troubleshoot routine problems, recognize when something isn’t right, and appropriately escal…
• Strong attention to detail, dependability, teamwork, and sense of urgency

Even better if you bring:

• Prototype, pilot-production, low-volume, or high-mix manufacturing experience
• Basic soldering experience
• Familiarity with IPC standards or interest in obtaining IPC certification
• Experience with NetSuite or another ERP system
• Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement experience

PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a hands‑on position in a climate‑controlled electronics manufacturing environment where precision and detailed work are essential.

• Frequent use of hands and fingers to assemble and manipulate small components, tools, and materials
• Frequent reaching, grasping, pulling, bending, twisting, and repetitive hand and arm movements
• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Routine lifting and carrying of approximately 15–20 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
• Near vision and color differentiation sufficient for detailed assembly and inspection work
• Work at individual workstations and production lines using hand tools and assembly equipment
• Required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ESD protection in designated areas
