Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in North Brunswick, NJ, is seeking a dependable Forklift Operator to support our warehouse and logistics team on first shift. You will load, unload, and move materials, operate forklift equipment, and assist with receiving and shipping in a fast-paced production environment.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of forklift experience (including Stand-up Order Picker), basic computer skills, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years forklift operating experience.
• Experience with Stand-up Order Picker forklift preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must be able to read and write in English.

Starting Pay

$20.00 to $25.00

1st Shift Monday - Friday: 6:45am - 3:15pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Forklift Operator is responsible to provide support to the supply chain through collecting, loading, shipping, and receiving warehouse products. The employee will be trained to use crane, sweeper machine and will help working in the compactor area.

• Provide support to the supply chain through collecting, loading, shipping, and receiving warehouse products
• Responsible for operating technical equipment, optimizing loading for efficient logistics, and supporting other warehouse functions to ensure optimal operation of the business
• Operate Forklift.
• Adhere to quality and customer service standards set forth by the company
• Perform cycle counts as required
• Will cover and work in different areas of the receiving department (crane, sweeper machine, compactors).
• Identify safety hazards in the workplace
• Consolidate partial pallets for incoming goods
• perform area maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of forklift operating experience or combination of forklift experience and material handling work highly preferred
• Experience in Stand-up Order Picker Forklift
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Ability to walk/stand for long durations (duration of shift excluding breaks).
• Vision abilities to include close, distance, peripheral, color and depth differentiation
• Use of hands and fingers for fine manipulation
• Ability to perform specific tasks that involve climbing and kneeling
• Frequent exposure to dust and debris from the production process
• Frequent exposure to loud noises
• No FEAR of elevated heights
• Ability to read and write in English (Numbers, Locations, short words and phrases)
