Samsung Electronics America is seeking a Production Associate for their Newberry facility. In this role, you will be responsible for mitigating production challenges by feeding raw materials, assembling goods, and maintaining quality standards. Ideal candidates are expected to thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively operate machinery, and ensure inventory is appropriately managed.
Position Summary
The production associate performs tasks involved in the production of the company’s products.Role and Responsibilities
Second Shift
+ Feed raw materials into production machinery
+ Assemble goods on production lines
+ Monitor the production process
+ Carry out basic quality and testing checks
+ Store goods and raw materials properly in our warehouse
+ Use lifting equipment and forklift trucks to fulfill orders
+ Pack goods to be shipped
+ Maintain work areas and equipment
+ All other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
Second Shift
+ Education:High School diploma or equivalent required
+ Experience:None
+ Must be able to speak, read, and write English
+ The ability to stand up for 8 - 10 hours a day required
+ Overtime opportunities possible
+ The ability to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis
+ The ability to pass a drug test and background check
+ Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions
+ Must be age 18 or older
+ Must be eligible to work in the United States
PREFERRED/DESIRED:
+ Need to be able to work in a fast paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
+ Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
+ The ability to work with components that are in constant motion along an assembly line without
