Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Production Associate in Marion, OH to fabricate and produce components for window assemblies. This fast-paced, physical role involves lifting, repetitive tasks and using various hand/power tools across multiple departments.

Typical duties include mass-producing windows, assisting with material handling, following work orders, reading measurements, and training new hires.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Authorized to work in the US.
• Able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Able to stand for extended periods.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience reading a tape measure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units.
• Support window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading materials or windows.
• Use hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers.
• Read and follow work orders, labels, and schedules.
• Read tape measures and inspect products for defects.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees.

JOB DETAILS

2nd Shift Base Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour plus $1.00 Shift Differential

2nd Shift:Monday-Thursday 2:30 pm- 1:00 am

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Production Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments.

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units
• May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows
• Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions
• Read and carry out simple written instructions
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules
• Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during interview), inspect, examine, and observe for product defects
• Make fraction and decimal conversions
• Operate any equipment needed to perform a job
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply

• Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Preferably with experience in manufacturing
• Preferably with experience reading a tape measure
