Job summary

Donaldson Company is seeking a production assembler to join our manufacturing team in Wisconsin. You will assemble products, package components, perform quality checks, read blueprints, and operate various machines.

This role rotates through positions and requires use of hand and power tools, measurement devices, and basic data entry on a computer. We value reliability, safety, and teamwork; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

  • Aptitude test covering basic math, reading directions, and diagrams.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs regularly and stand long periods.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Read blueprints and follow verbal/written instructions.
  • Use hand/power tools and measurement devices.
  • Communicate effectively, including writing.
  • Operate computers for data entry and labeling tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble products and package components per instructions.
  • Perform tasks across multiple positions in production.
  • Conduct quality checks and document scraps/logs/first/last piece reports.
  • Set up and operate machines and equipment.
  • Support 6S-based continuous improvement and maintain clean work areas.
  • Use computers for production tasks and label creation.
  • Operate material handling equipment as needed.
  • Rotate through roles and wear required PPE.

Roles Responsibilities:
  • Assemble products and package components using hand and power tools, following verbal and written instructions, including blueprints
  • Perform a variety of tasks/roles throughout the day in a steady-paced production environment
  • Conduct required quality checks and complete required documentation (e.g.., scrap sheets, logs, data gathering, first/last piece inspection reports)
  • Set ups and operates various machines and equipment
  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives, including maintaining a clean and safe work environment using 6S principles
  • Use computer for production-related tasks such as data entry and creating labels
  • Operates various material handling equipment such as power pallet jacks, lifts and packaging wrappers
  • Performs multiple tasks, and rotates from position to position as required in the production process
  • Use appropriate PPE for the task assigned
  • Regular attendance and ability to work overtime

Minimum Qualifications:

Preferred Qualification:
  • Previous work experience in a production or industrial environment
  • Ability to learn new tasks and train in other positions
