Job summary

Donaldson Company is seeking an inventory/shipping associate in Harrisonville, Missouri. You will consolidate components for work orders, count parts daily, and enter quantities in Oracle to maintain accurate inventory records.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Consolidate components for work orders and make appropriate inventory transactions
  • Count parts daily to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Enter part quantities in Oracle Count parts
  • Count parts manually
  • Gather relevant blueprints; build sheets and necessary parts and hardware for assembly
  • Use mechanical ability, work instructions and hand tools to assemble products and package accordingly
  • Resolve routine questions and problems and refers more complex issues to a higher level for resolution
  • Knowledge of and ability to process paperwork such as work orders, picklists, etc.
  • Ability to read, understand and utilize work orders.
  • Alert Team Leader of pending or imminent problems
  • Ability to operate an RF Scanner to make appropriate inventory move transactions
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping within the department to ensure safety and efficiency
  • Must be a self-starter with ability to work independently
  • Material Handling and Transportation of Product Work Safely and comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Use all designated Personal Protective Equipment as required
  • Must be able to work scheduled overtime hours
  • Provide coverage for other members of the shipping and receiving department
  • Assist other departments as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Work and operate forklift safely
  • For internal positions, no written warnings (within 12 months)
  • Must be DCI licensed to operate a forklift and able to demonstrate proficiently in the operation of department equipment for which applying.
  • Ability to use computer, proficiency in Oracle, PDM, MS-Office, MSDS Online, web based apps, etc.
  • RF Reader experience preferred
  • Perform a variety of tasks throughout the day in a fast-paced work environment

  • Interact constructively and effectively with all plant employees
  • Ability to work in a team environment toward a common goal
  • Reacts to change productively and to handle other tasks as assigned
  • Maintains a pattern of regular and predictable attendance
  • Must be able to cover both Receiving and Shipping positions and will require ability to occasionally cover shipping hours of 8AM – 5PM
