Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring for a production teammate responsible for operating CNC machines in a fast-paced setting, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality. You will read tape measurements, assist with quality inspections, and contribute cost-saving ideas to minimize waste.

The role requires basic Microsoft skills, Forklift/overhead crane familiarity is a plus, and lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a related area is preferred
• Must have basic Microsoft knowledge
• Experience with side forklift, bander, nail gun, overhead crane, saws, stretch wrap machine, and various pneumatic equipment preferred, not required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC controlled machines (presses, lasers, rolling mills) in a fast-paced production setting with safety/quality focus
• Utilize scanning equipment
• Inspect work visually for defects per quality standards
• Provide cost-saving suggestions to improve production and reduce waste
• Willing to work overtime and read schedules
• Read a tape measure and follow posted schedules
• Learn and take on additional tasks as assigned

Job Details

Base pay starts at $18.25 per hour

Shift Hours: 5:00 am - 1:30 pm, hours may vary depending on operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate various CNC controlled machines, such as presses, lasers, rolling mills in a fast-paced production setting, with an emphasis on safety and quality
• Utilize scanning equipment
• Inspect work visually for defects according to quality standards
• Serve as a positive role model consistent with Cornerstone Building Brands Mission, Vision and Core Values
• Provide cost saving suggestions and ideas to improve production and eliminate waste
• Must be willing/able to work overtime
• Must be able to read a tape measure, write, and follow posted schedules
• Willing to learn and take on additional tasks as assigned
• Team player and keeping safety first
