Job Summary

Our Production Associate is responsible for overseeing and performing a wide variety of tasks to produce high-quality products that conform with customer specifications. The primary purpose of this job is to ensure the quality of materials and end products, safely and cost-effectively achieving performance targets. Production Associates assist in duties related to keeping the line running smoothly, while embodying Crown Bakeries' Vision, Mission, and Values.

Responsibilities

• Complete various production tasks as assigned by Production Operator.
• Clear pan jams from line, remove and add baking pans as needed.
• Troubleshoot basic causes of line stops and restart production.
• Assist the production operator in line startups and changeovers.
• Oversee product quality and ensure products meet customer specifications.
• Maintain high rates of production as set by the Operator and Production Supervisor.
• Minimize waste by separating rework from raw dough waste whenever possible.
• Monitor and deliver side trimmings to the mixer; notify the operator when side trimmings exceed acceptable rates.
• Remove all out-of-spec products from the line and notify the Production Supervisor of non-conforming products or processes.
• Contribute to a safe and efficient work environment.
• Attend monthly safety meetings when applicable.
• Maintain regular attendance, perform tasks safely, and adhere to safety policies.
• Perform other responsibilities as directed by Supervisors and Managers to support business objectives.
• Plan, problem solve, foster healthy peer relations, and motivate others.

Qualifications and Skills

• Follow all GMPs, Food Defense, and quality policies.
• Ensure compliance with all GMP, food hygiene, and safety standards.
• Report all food safety incidents such as GMP violations, contamination, metal detector deviations, glass breakage, and pest issues.
• Willing to acquire a variety of skills to assist the team and understand processes.
• Ability to problem solve, learn quickly, and make quality decisions.
• Work well in a team and independently.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Reach above shoulder height, bend, twist, stand, climb stairs/ladders, push/pull, and walk for the duration of the shift.
• Work in a noisy environment and stand for long periods.

Work Environment

This role operates in a production environment with exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and odors.
