Production Associate

Pay: $22.88/hr - plus shift premium (Rotating Shifts)

Job Summary

Working in the Press department, this associate operates the plate lift, separates pressed laminate, and stacks material. Works under the supervision of Press Operators/Foreman.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Retrieve and inspect component materials, plates, and laminates.
2. As part of a two-person team, lay up component materials and unload completed laminate according to the production process.
3. Initiate corrective actions if production operations are not standard.
4. Log production data such as material produced, type, size, run, control settings, rejects, etc.
5. Perform lock-out/tag-out procedures and preventative maintenance checks, following all safety policies and procedures.
6. Participate in Wilsonart’s Continuous Improvement system and adhere to quality standards.
7. Perform other duties as required in a professional, courteous manner.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to work safely following company guidelines and procedures.
• Computer literacy for data entry.
• Ability to identify patterns and finishes, and follow quality specifications.
• Ability to operate a lift truck.
• Good hand-eye coordination skills.
• Basic math skills.

Minimum Requirements

Education: High School Graduate/GED or equivalent education and work experience.

Experience: 1 year in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Heavy physical work involving pushing, pulling, lifting (50-100 pounds), and standing or walking for at least 10 hours per shift.
