Job summary

Owens Corning is seeking Production Technicians for our Tallmadge Form Insulation Plant. You will safely operate and monitor production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, contributing to high-quality output and safety first.

The role supports long-term career growth with a stable, respected manufacturer. The position offers an on-site 12-hour shift, nights option, overtime as needed, and a $1.00 increase after certification plus a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

  • 1 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Accurately read tape measures.
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.

Shift:12 hours: AM/PM-36/48-Rotating work week every other weekend off!

NIGHTS: 6:40PM-7:00AM

$1.00 increase after certification

As a Production Technician, you’ll play a key role in manufacturing operations by ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality production. This is a hands‑on role for individuals who enjoy working with equipment, solving problems, and being part of a strong team

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate and monitor production equipment in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
  • Accurately perform board inspections and accurately measure objects using a standard tape measure and a six inch scale
  • Accurately document production data,and quality checks
  • Operate unit wrapper and perform all associated tasks
  • Operate board grinders and prepare and feed scrap products
  • Operate compactor equipment and associated tasks
  • Properly set up and operate cutting machine
  • Operate printer equipment and bar code machine
  • Operate a tow motor and obtain license
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety‑focused work area
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Read and understand production schedule
  • Comply with all plant rules
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Regular Attendance and maintain a good attendance record
  • Be a team player
  • All other duties as assigned or needed
EDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
  • Manufacturing Environment
  • Production Laborer, Grinder, Assembler
  • Production Equipment Operator, Set up
The employee should possess:
  • 1 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Accurately read tape measurers
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Ability to routinely lift up to 55 lbs. without assistanceWork up to 12 hours in hot/cold manufacturing environment
  • Walk/stand on concrete floor continuously for up to 12 hours
  • Safeguard self with Personal protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Use cleaning equipment or tools as necessary for housekeeping duties
