R10069195 Production Associate (Open)

Location: Oakwood Village, OH - Filling industrial

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Cylinder Handler will be responsible for loading and unloading high-pressure and liquid cylinders on/off trucks in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The Loader will also ensure all safety standards are met during the handling of cylinder gases according to Airgas procedures.

  1. Inspect cylinders prior to filling, following standard procedures required by government, Airgas, and distributor standards.
  2. Understand hazards associated with various gases; interpret cylinder labels and color-coding to identify size and contents.
  3. Adhere to all government and company standards for the safe handling of hazardous materials and cylinder gases.
  4. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  5. Load and unload cylinders from vehicles, using hand trucks or chain hoists, and record details of cylinders handled.
  6. Ensure cylinders on pallets are securely strapped and properly loaded/unloaded.
  7. Inspect returned cylinders for defects, dents, cracks, or burns; perform minor maintenance and prepare cylinders for filling.
  8. Transport cylinders to designated areas using appropriate safety methods or equipment.
  9. Segregate cylinders that are out of test or defective.
  10. Remove old labels, clean cylinders, and perform other duties as assigned.
Are you a MATCH?
  • HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in manufacturing, filling, or loading preferred.
  • Experience in gas, welding, safety supply, or chemical industry is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to read and understand safety data sheets.
  • Ability to work with diverse personalities and backgrounds.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in various units of measure.
  • Ability to operate a forklift safely.
