Description

Q-Lab Corporation is currently seeking a Production Associate. This position will be responsible for production and packaging of our standard and custom sheet metal paint test panels. The position requires a high attention to quality details and the use of industrial fabrication machinery.

Responsibilities

• Continuous and consistent inspection of sheet metal part quality
• Precisely count sheet metal parts before packaging
• Ability to cross train and work any of the numerous areas within the department
• Detect and report unusual or defective materials to the supervisor
• Ability to learn and operate machinery including: high speed automated stamping line, surface grinder, 20ton manual punch press, hydraulic manual punch press, mechanical sheet metal shear, sheet metal press brake, sheet metal slip rollers, sand blaster
• Follow Lean Manufacturing 5S practices
• Operate a forklift and jib crane to carry raw materials or completed product
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  
  

Required Skills/Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Basic math skills
• Understanding of how to work from blueprints and written specifications
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
• Working knowledge of basic computer software
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for 90% of work day if needed
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as necessary
• Ability to work in loud conditions that require hearing protection
