Duro-Last Roofing, a brand of Amrize Building Envelope, is seeking a Production Associate at the Kernersville, NC location. The role focuses on manufacturing high quality products, meeting customer needs and maintaining safety standards on an hourly basis.

The position offers a 1st shift (7 am - 3:30 pm EST) with a $20/hr pay, potential safety bonus, and opportunities to learn production procedures while working with a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 18 years old.
• Able to work in a team and have initiative to get the job done.
• Must pass a pre-hire drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Able to bend, push, carry, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Available for up to a 12-hour shift and weekends when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Make high quality products free of defects to meet customer needs.
• Learn basic production tasks and how to operate equipment and learn procedures.
• Accurately complete all required production paperwork.
• Attend and participate in scheduled plant, production, and safety meetings.
• Keep the work area clean and safe, presentable for guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned and uphold health and safety policies.

About The Role

Duro-Last Roofing, the world’s largest manufacturer of prefabricated roofing systems, has an opening for a Production Trainee at the company’s Kernersville, North Carolina location. The Production Associate’s primary goal is to manufacture high quality products, free of defects, and to also fulfill customers’ needs and expectations. This is a full-time, hourly based position with an additional potential safety bonus. The position will report to the Plant Supervisor.

PAY: $20/hr

SCHEDULE: 1st Shift (7 am- 3:30 pm EST)

What You’ll Accomplish

• Make high quality products, free of defects, to fulfill customers’ needs and expectations
• Learn all the basic level tasks including how to operate production equipment and learn manufacturing procedures
• Accurately complete all required production paperwork
• Attend and participate in scheduled Company meetings including all plant, production, and safety meetings
• Keep work area clean and neat to ensure there are no safety hazards and that the area is presentable for guests
• All other duties as assigned
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

What We’re Looking For

Additional Requirements

• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
