Duro-Last Roofing, a brand of Amrize Building Envelope, is seeking a Production Associate at its Kernersville, NC facility. This full-time, hourly role focuses on manufacturing high quality products while meeting customer needs and maintaining a safe work environment.

You will learn basic production tasks, operate equipment, complete production paperwork, and participate in safety and plant meetings. Strong teamwork and reliability are essential to succeed in this hands-on role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to work in a team and have initiative to get the job done.
• Must pass pre-hire drug screen, physical, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Make high quality products, free of defects, to fulfill customers’ needs and expectations.
• Learn basic level tasks including how to operate production equipment and learn manufacturing procedures.
• Accurately complete all required production paperwork.
• Attend and participate in scheduled Company meetings including all plant, production, and safety meetings.
• Keep work area clean and neat to ensure there are no safety hazards and that the area is presentable for guests.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

About The Role

Duro-Last Roofing, the world’s largest manufacturer of prefabricated roofing systems, has an opening for a Production Trainee at the company’s Kernersville, North Carolina location. The Production Associate’s primary goal is to manufacture high quality products, free of defects, and to also fulfill customers’ needs and expectations. This is a full-time, hourly based position with an additional potential safety bonus. The position will report to the Plant Supervisor.

What You'll Accomplish

• Make high quality products, free of defects, to fulfill customers’ needs and expectations
• Learn all the basic level tasks including how to operate production equipment and learn manufacturing procedures
• Accurately complete all required production paperwork
• Attend and participate in scheduled Company meetings including all plant, production, and safety meetings
• Keep work area clean and neat to ensure there are no safety hazards and that the area is presentable for guests
• All other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED is required
• At least 18 years of age
• Able to work in a team and have initiative to get the job done
• Must be able to pass a pre-hire drug screen, physical, and background check
• Bend, push, carry, lift up to 50 pounds
• Available to work up to a 12-hour shift and weekends when necessary
• Previous manufacturing experience is highly desired

Additional Requirements

• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
