Job summary

Staffmark in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Production Associate to support daily manufacturing operations. You will assemble products, operate basic production equipment, inspect finished goods, and help keep work areas clean and safe while meeting daily output goals.

  • Operate basic shop equipment, including grinders, presses, and hand tools.
  • Conduct basic testing and inspections to ensure product quality and performance.
  • Read and follow work instructions, job travelers, and safety procedures accurately.
  • Meet daily production and output goals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work area.
  • Provide support to other departments such as shipping and material handling as needed.

  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement practices, or workplace safety procedures is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate reliability, adaptability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic are well positioned for success as a Production Associate.
Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely operate around production equipment and moving machinery.
  • Ability to maintain productivity while working in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
