Job summary

Carlex Glass America, LLC is seeking team members for manufacturing roles on a 3-2-2-3 schedule. You will load/unload parts, assemble components on glass, and operate machines while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Candidates should have at least a high school diploma and one year in manufacturing. Expect overtime, ability to lift 45-50 lbs, stand on concrete, and a strong commitment to teamwork, attendance, and following procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift on a 3-2-2-3 schedule and overtime may be required.
• Able to lift 45-50 lbs regularly and walk 5-10 feet while carrying a windshield.
• Able to stand on concrete for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts, assembly and other duties as assigned.
• Understand and follow work instructions and control plans.
• Operate machines and handle changeovers as needed.
• Do quality checks and input data into the Quality system to keep the process nominal and input GMaPS data when required.
• Maintain an organized, clean work environment (5S).
• Perform other departmental duties as directed by supervision.
• Know PPE requirements, lockouts and E-stops.

KEY TASKS INCLUDE

• General Production responsibilities including loading and unloading parts, assembly and additional duties as assigned.
• Understand and follow work instructions and control plans
• Operate machines along with other key tasks such as changeovers

Requirements

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Years of Experience

Minimum Of 1 Year Of Manufacturing Preferred.

Other Requirements

Ability to work a 12-hour shift on our 3-2-2-3 schedule and required overtime.

Ability to learn and follow procedures while working safely in a manufacturing environment.

Able to lift 45-50 lbs regularly and/or occasionally able to walk 5-10 feet while carrying a 45-50 lb. windshield.

Able to raise objects from a lower to higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position.

Assemble components on glass, involving picking, pinching and fingering objects.

Repetitive movements of wrists, hands and/or fingers

Repetitive twisting and bending of upper & lower body.

Work in extreme heat and humidity.

Regular and predictable attendance required.

Cooperate within teams to carry out tasks and responsibilities.

Overtime may be required as workload or projects dictate, including weekends and holidays.

Able to stand on concrete for extended periods of time.
