  • Verify color, registration, and print quality; report discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety protocols.
  • Communicate with Printing, Ink, and Production teams to support workflow.
  • Perform other duties to support production goals.

Job Summary

The Production Assistant — with Racking Emphasis plays a key role in supporting production operations with a primary initial focus on racking activities within the printing department. This position is responsible for inspecting printed materials for accuracy and quality, properly racking and organizing parts for downstream processes, and assisting in additional production tasks such as inspection, lamination, de-slugging, waste stripping, and general support work. This role requires strong attention to detail, adaptability, and consistent adherence to written instructions and quality standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Inspect printed materials against job bag standards and quality expectations.
  • Rack and organize materials for efficient transfer to next production stage.
  • Follow written procedures and complete production records as required.
  • Support other production processes as needed (e.g., inspection, lamination, deslugging, reclaiming, cleaning).
  • Verify color, registration, and print quality and report any discrepancies or defects.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area and follow safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with Printing, Ink, and Production team members to support workflow.
  • Perform additional related duties to support production goals.

  • Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, or crouching.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds as needed.
  • Visual acuity required for part inspection and reading work orders.
Work Environment
  • Moderate noise typical of a manufacturing and printing environment.
  • Exposure to moving equipment and production materials.
  • PPE may be required based on assigned tasks.
This position requires:
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday 7am to 3:30pm with overtime as required.
  • Ability to multitask.
