We are hiring a Production Assistant (PA) to support our event productions with logistics, coordination, and on-site assistance. This role is essential for ensuring that events run smoothly and that the production team has the support needed to execute flawlessly.

A Typical Day

• Setup and Strike Assistance: Aid in the setup and breakdown of equipment, staging, and other event elements under the guidance of department heads.
• Logistics Coordination: Manage logistics such as catering arrangements, crew transportation, and accommodation bookings.
• Errand Running: Handle last-minute needs and errands, including picking up supplies, equipment, or refreshments.
• Transportation: Drive company vehicles such as sprinter vans or box trucks to transport crew and equipment.
• Crew Support: Assist with loading and unloading equipment, organizing gear, and maintaining a tidy work environment.
• Talent Assistance: Support performers and presenters with schedules, cues, and any special requirements.
• Communication Facilitation: Relay information between different departments, ensuring everyone is informed of schedule changes or important updates.
• Documentation: Take detailed notes during meetings or rehearsals, and assist with creating schedules or call sheets.
• Budget Management: Handle petty cash responsibly, keeping accurate records of expenditures.
• Hospitality Services: Prepare and manage hospitality areas, including setting up green rooms and ensuring refreshments are available.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and assist in enforcing safety guidelines among crew and participants.
• Problem-Solving: Address on-site issues proactively, finding solutions to keep the event on track.

Your Expertise

• Experience: Previous experience as a Production Assistant or in a similar role in live events, theater, or film production.
• Organizational Skills: Strong ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Physical Ability: Capable of lifting equipment (up to 50 lbs), standing for extended periods, and performing physically demanding tasks.
• Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving larger vehicles is a plus.
• Professionalism: Punctual, reliable, and able to work long hours, including nights and weekends.
• Problem-Solving: Quick thinker who can adapt to changing circumstances and handle unexpected challenges.
• Interpersonal Skills: Friendly and approachable, with the ability to work well with a diverse team.
• Attention to Detail: Careful in following instructions and attentive to the needs of the production team.
