Job summary

Charlie’s Produce in Anchorage, Alaska, is seeking a Production Assistant Manager to supervise Production and Repack teams, monitor machinery, ensure safety and quality, and train staff to meet daily production targets.

You will maintain documentation, coordinate audits, and support the Production Manager. The role demands HACCP/GMP compliance, hands-on operation, and the ability to work in a refrigerated environment, with opportunities for growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some related experience preferred.
• Ability to read/write/record data and perform calculations.
• Direct a diverse team with strong written and verbal communication.
• Able to work in a frozen/refrigerated environment (34–37°F).
• Experience leading production and processing teams is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Production and Repack staff to meet daily production targets.
• Monitor and record operation of machinery and production processes.
• Train staff on equipment use, production methods and quality standards.
• Maintain food safety and quality, and follow HACCP/GMP policies.
• Ensure audits and preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
• Collaborate with other departments on value-adding projects.
• Fill in for Production Manager when needed.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and dating of products.
