Job description

The Normal Brand has gained a reputation for providing durable and long-lasting products that is above all - comfortable. Jimmy Sansone started the company by selling online out of his parents’ basement in 2015, and was soon joined by his brothers, Conrad and Lan to run it together. They opened their first brand store in 2019 in St. Louis, Missouri, which has been voted the number one men’s clothing store in St. Louis for two years running. The Normal Brand now operates eleven brick and mortar stores of its own around the country, sells to 500 wholesale partners, and sells online through its website, which serves customers across the United States and globally at https://thenormalbrand.com.

What We Are Looking For:
The Normal Brand is seeking a detail-oriented Production Assistant to support our Product team. This role is focused on tracking purchase orders, maintaining cost records, and communicating daily with vendors to help keep production on schedule.

  • Track purchase orders from issuance through delivery, ensuring on-time production and accurate shipment updates
  • Maintain production calendars and WIP (work-in-progress) reports across vendors
  • Communicate daily with vendors, agents, and logistics partners (DHL/FEDEX) to confirm timelines, resolve issues, and relay updates internally
  • Monitor and update cost sheets and manage cost updates throughout development and production across multiple vendors and internally
  • Maintain accurate records for sample orders, fabric commitments, and production milestones
  • Maintain and update internal systems and trackers to ensure data is current and organized
  • Make inventory-related decisions, including bulk replenishment approvals and fabric shortage management
  • Cross functional collaboration with any of our retail channels including PO writing/tracking, Product knowledge assets, additional sample requests/tracking, and external invoice approvals.
  • Cross functional collaboration with any of our retail channels including PO writing/tracking, Product knowledge assets, additional sample requests/tracking, and external invoice approval
  • Manage compliance and records of all quality control approvals including TOP sample approvals, Inspection Reports, QC projects, charge back requests, Packing and Folding Approvals, Care labels, UPCs, wholesale customer specific requirements, and fabric testing reports.

A person who joins our team must be three things: humble, hungry, smart. We stole that from a book written by a guy much smarter than us. In addition, to the HHS requirements for all teammates, for this role, here are some other things we are looking for:

  • 1–2 years of experience in a production, sourcing, or operations support role
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in Excel and tracking multiple timelines
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

Bonus Points:

  • Experience working in a fast-growing startup or founder-led brand.
  • Passion for lifestyle apparel and brand storytelling.

Above all, we offer the chance for growth. We are a young company started in a basement 9 years ago, and we have a lot to prove. We want to add people to the team who want to be a part of this family and grow within it for life. In addition to that, we also offer:

  • Health, Dental, Vision Insurance available
  • 401K
  • Employee Discounts
