Job description

Position Overview

• Title: Production Technician I
• Location: Hazelwood, MO
• Shift: 2nd Shift (Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM); 3rd Shift (Sunday - Thurs, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM, with overtime availability)
• Pay: Starting at $16/hr + 10% shift differential = $17.60/hr; up to $19.00/hr depending on experience
• Orientation: Must attend 1st shift orientation during the first week

Key Responsibilities

• Operate high-speed, automated equipment for producing and packaging VITEK 2 cards in a cGMP environment
• Perform setup, operation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and cleaning of equipment
• Complete production batches and documentation, including inspections and reworks
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas
• Follow safety protocols and wear required PPE (e.g., gloves, gowns, safety glasses, hearing protection)

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: 1–2 years in an FDA-regulated, GMP-compliant manufacturing environment preferred
• Skills:
• Ability to follow written/verbal instructions and SOPs
• Basic math and computer skills (SAP experience a plus)
• Attention to detail and ability to interpret technical documents
• Physical stamina: standing 8–12 hours, lifting 20–50 lbs, pushing up to 600 lbs
• Comfortable working in cool, low-humidity, noisy environments
