ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assists supervisor with coordination of traffic department and sales staff to expedite radio commercials and rotation of commercials according to the specifications requested by client and/or sales department.

· Prepares the system for proper placement of commercials.

· Calls clients and plays commercials for approval.

· Files and organizes copy.

· Performs additional duties in small stations, such as fill-in for on-air personality.

· Board operator for two hour public affairs show

· Other duties may be assigned.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

· Ability to operate a reel-to-reel tape recorder, audio-processing equipment (digital or analog), and a computer for general office functionality.

· Must be able to must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

· Must be able to work in moderate to loud environments

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Two years of production experience
