Job summary

Switchgear Power Systems (SPS) is hiring a Production Assembly Technician (Electrical or Mechanical) for the 2nd shift at 202 W Enterprise Road, Winneconne, WI. You will assemble electrical equipment, wire control panels, and install components using wiring diagrams, while following BOMs and drawings.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and quality; you may be placed in Electrical or Mechanical Assembly based on your skills and interests.

Production Assembly Technician (Electrical or Mechanical) – 2nd Shift

Position Description

At SPS, our Production Assembly Technicians (Electrical or Mechanical- 2nd Shift play an important role in building custom electrical power distribution equipment used across a variety of industries. Working as part of a collaborative manufacturing team, you'll use hand tools, assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and bills of material to build high-quality products safely and accurately.

This posting is designed to build our production team across both our Electrical Assembly and Mechanical Assembly departments. Based on your experience, skills, and interests, you may be placed into either role during the hiring process

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Depending on your assigned department, responsibilities may include:

• Assemble custom electrical equipment and enclosures.
• Install electrical and mechanical components using assembly drawings.
• Wire electrical control panels and equipment according to wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Verify materials and components against bills of material (BOMs).
• Safely operate hand and power tools.
• Perform quality checks to ensure workmanship and accuracy.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Experience in manufacturing, assembly, construction, automotive, maintenance, or related trades is helpful but not required.

• Ability to solve problems independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and a strong safety mindset.
• Flexibility to work occasional overtime when needed.
