Job summary

Clopay Corporation in Troy, Ohio, is hiring a Production Associate to join our manufacturing team. You will assemble garage doors using hand and power tools, follow safety procedures, and maintain accurate production records. Starting pay is 19.40 per hour with a 1.00 shift differential, with wage increases to 25.61 after 24 months.

2nd shift Monday–Friday, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., with a focus on quality and teamwork.

Qualifications

Basic knowledge of hardware required for various door models.
Ability to read and write a limited number of words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers.
Ability to count and perform simple math operations to determine information such as weight, temperature, and quantity.
Must be able to perform lockout tagout.
Ability to meet production and quality standards.
Ability to work harmoniously and effectively as part of a work team.

Responsibilities

Assemble garage doors using various hand tools, power tools, and operating equipment, in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Apply appropriate identifying labels to doors and/or boxes, where required.
Visually inspect parts for defects; replace parts that don’t meet quality specifications.
Monitor supply of production materials at the work station; reorder as needed.
Maintain accurate and neat daily production reports.
