Job summary

Bil-Jax is seeking a Production Assembly Operator to assemble components for Haulotte aerial work platforms. The role rotates to the Paint Line and ensures quality, safety, and durability of finished products.

The position runs 7:00 am–3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with benefits starting on day one and pay at $17.00 per hour. Responsibilities include assembling with hand and power tools, reading blueprints, training new staff, and supporting production in both assembly and paint operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions in English.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Willingness to learn multiple positions within the work cell, including paint line operations.

Responsibilities

• Handle, position, and place components or sub-assemblies using appropriate tools and equipment, including cranes, slings, hand tools, and power tools.
• Assemble components according to established processes and work instructions.
• Perform visual inspections to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Verify proper assembly, alignment, fit, operation, and retention.
• Correct minor deviations as needed.
• Maintain production tools in good working condition.
• Read and follow blueprints, work orders, and production documentation.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team leaders, and coworkers.
• Assist in training new employees as needed.
• Proactively identify and help resolve production issues.
• Support paint line operations when assigned.
• Follow all safety and quality standards.

Position Summary

The Production Assembly Operator is responsible for assembling components and sub-assemblies and supporting paint line operations for Haulotte aerial work platforms, including Telescopic Boom Lifts, Articulating Boom Lifts, Scissor Lifts, and Trailer-Mounted Booms. This role ensures products are built safely, accurately, and to high-quality standards for durability, performance, and appearance. The operator will primarily work in Assembly and rotate to the Paint Line as needed.

• Forklift experience preferred
• Must have reliable transportation
