Hörmann North America is seeking a production worker to assemble precut steel garage door sections and perform related duties in a non-exempt, full-time role. You will read work orders, follow schedules, and ensure quality while using hand and power tools.

The position requires ability to read a tape measure, lift 50-75 lbs, stand for long shifts and maintain precise hand-eye coordination in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Obtain work orders and production schedule and assemble materials accordingly.
• Install rubberized seal onto edge of sections.
• Install end cap onto sections.
• Stack sections including running sections through banding machine.
• Perform quality assurance inspection.

Physical Environment/Working Conditions

This position is in our manufacturing plant. It will involve standing, walking and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day and requires repetitive motion of arms, shoulders, wrists and hands. The plant is not climate controlled and will require the employee to dress appropriately. Noise levels can become high so NWD provides and requires hearing protection in the department.
