Job summary

Aerotek in Gorham, ME is seeking a Production Assembler for a contract position. You will perform repetitive manual assembly at a designated station, using hand and power tools to build high-quality components in a lean manufacturing setting.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company policies and manufacturing standards.
  • Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE and plant rules.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in training and cross-training to learn new positions and expand skills within the production environment.

Job Description

The Production Assembler performs repetitive, hands-on assembly of handmade products in a manufacturing environment before they are shipped to customers. You work at a designated station using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to build high-quality components, while following detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures. This role is physically active and requires standing for most of the shift and consistently lifting moderate to heavy parts.

Work Environment

You work in a busy manufacturing setting alongside approximately 50-60 people on the first shift. The role involves handling metal parts, cast iron, and other industrial materials while standing on your feet for most of the day. The standard schedule is Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., providing a consistent daytime shift. The environment emphasizes lean manufacturing principles, structured workstations, and efficient production flow. Steel-toed shoes and long pants are required as part of the dress code to support safety on the production floor.

This is a Contract position based out of Gorham, ME.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
