Job summary

Gear Wash, a Fire-Dex family-owned Independent Service Provider, seeks a Production & Quality Associate in Lakewood, Colorado. The role supports production intake and output, uses a computer, and assists with warehouse and quality tasks.

Monday–Friday, 10:00am–6:30pm, full-time position. Responsibilities include processing garment orders, operating laundry equipment, data entry, and inspecting/testing orders before shipping PPE to customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Previous warehouse/receiving experience helpful.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to learn new software.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Receive, tag, sort, and process garment orders.
• Operate laundry machines.
• Enter garment data in internal tracking system.
• Follow procedures for laundry, garment inspection, and testing.
• Assist with warehouse tasks and inventory organization.
• Support deliveries and customer pickups as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Gear Wash is a Fire-Dex family-owned Independent Service Provider (ISP) of personal protective equipment (PPE) care and maintenance. We’re seeking a self-motivated Production & Quality Associate. They will provide production intake and output while using their computer, troubleshooting, physical and detail-oriented skills. Provide both warehouse and quality support through receiving and logging orders, processing, inspecting and testing orders and packaging garment orders for shipping various personal protective equipment (PPE) for firefighters.

Additional duties include:

• Intake, tag, sort and process incoming garment orders
• Operate laundry machines
• Accurately enter garment data in internal tracking system
• Develop strong working knowledge and understanding through referencing and following company procedures, such as laundry and garment inspection and testing, general operations, and cleaning and preparation work procedures
• Complete work according to company quality standards while achieving company efficiency standards
• Build working knowledge and demonstrate familiarity of all equipment used for cleaning PPE
• Demonstrate adaptability to learn new skills and follow company procedures
• Support warehouse operations as needed, including receiving shipments, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
• Assist with deliveries and customer pickup/drop off activities as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving department, handling warranties, repairs or refurbishments is very helpful
• Proficient computer skills and ability to learn new software
• Possess a high attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds due to the nature of handling garments
