Job summary

PressW in Austin, TX is seeking a skilled software engineer to build AI-powered systems in a hybrid role. You’ll develop full-stack applications with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Vue.js, Next.js, and Python (FastAPI).

You'll deploy on AWS/GCP/Azure, use Terraform for IaC, integrate AI models, and collaborate with product managers and UX designers to bring AI-driven apps to market. Strong debugging and security mindset required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with JavaScript, including ES6, async patterns, closures.
• 2+ years of professional TypeScript experience.
• 4+ years of professional React experience, including React Server Components.
• Proficient in Python development with FastAPI backend services.
• Proficiency in HTML/CSS and Git version control.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and backend integrations.
• Experience with Redux state management.
• Experience deploying ML-enabled apps on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with Terraform or similar IaC tools.
• Knowledge of LangChain or LangGraph is a plus.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack applications with focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Build and optimize backend services using Python (FastAPI) and integrate AI models and APIs.
• Design and implement frontend interfaces using React, Vue.js, or Next.js.
• Manage cloud infrastructure and deploy applications on AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Utilize Terraform or similar tools for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Optimize databases and data storage solutions using PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Work cross-functionally with product managers, AI engineers, and UX designers to bring AI-driven applications to market.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes.
• Ensure security best practices are followed in architecture and development.
• Stay up-to-date with AI/ML advancements and recommend adoption where applicable.
• Maintain best practices in software engineering.
