Job summary

Harnham is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer - AI to join our hybrid Houston/Austin team. You will design and build enterprise applications that integrate LLMs, RAG pipelines, AI agents, and modern AI tooling into production software.

You will own projects from architecture to deployment, collaborating with product, data engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions using React, Python, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Full Stack Software Engineering experience.
• Strong experience building both backend services and modern frontend applications.
• Production experience with Python, Java, or similar backend technologies.
• Experience with React, Angular, Next.js, or comparable frontend frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience integrating LLMs, Generative AI, RAG pipelines, or AI APIs into production software.
• Practical experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Augment Code, or GitHub Copilot.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and data‑intensive applications.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred; AWS or Azure also considered).
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including testing, CI/CD, and application architecture.
• Product mindset with the ability to translate business problems into scalable technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and build full-stack applications integrating modern AI capabilities.
• Develop scalable backend services, REST APIs, and frontend applications.
• Build and integrate LLM-powered features including RAG pipelines, AI agents, semantic search, and conversational interfaces.
• Design and maintain data ingestion pipelines and integrations with modern data platforms.
• Build production-ready applications using modern frontend frameworks and Python-based backend services.
• Leverage AI coding tools to accelerate development while maintaining engineering quality.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, and engineering standards.
• Implement CI/CD, testing, observability, and cloud-native deployment practices.
• Partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact software solutions.
