Job summary

Vylor, Inc. seeks Production Agronomy Interns for a summer 2027 program to gain hands-on experience in seed production while building technical and professional skills. You will work alongside an agronomist and seed production specialists to support safe, efficient operations and data collection.

Interns will perform crop scouting, field trials, IPM activities, and data analysis, with opportunities to present findings. A capstone project will showcase your recommendations to business leaders.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a four-year degree program in agronomy, agricultural business, agricultural studies, agricultural systems technology, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate across functions.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Basic proficiency with computer applications and the ability to work with data.

You will gain practical field experience and contribute to day-to-day operations through responsibilities such as:* Supporting seed production operations and field management activities* Assisting with crop scouting and integrated pest management (IPM) activities* Conducting field trials, research studies, and data collection* Evaluating economic injury thresholds and supporting agronomic recommendations* Identifying weeds, insects, pests, and crop diseases* Monitoring crop development and communicating field observations and progress* Collaborating with agronomy, production, and other cross-functional teamsYou will also complete a capstone project assigned by your Field Operations Manager.
