Job summary

Ashland is seeking an Acetylenics Area Clerk to join our Calvert City, Kentucky location. This visible role reports to the Operations Manager and supports production-related accounting and SAP processes.

You will maintain and audit SAP entries, resolve discrepancies, and collaborate with engineers and staff to ensure accurate production tracking. Strong Excel/Word skills and weekend availability are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of administrative experience.
• Proficiency with SAP and basic accounting concepts.
• Strong computer literacy and familiarity with standard office software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accuracy of SAP Production entries communicating with staff to ensure proper workflow.
• Audit SAP entries for discrepancies.
• Daily investigation and correction of COGI errors, with a weekly review of same with staff.
• Daily reconciliation of production tracking for completeness and accuracy - collaborating with Engineers and FLLs.
• Enter and escape (business critical) Remedy tickets to address system error issues.
• Monthly review of tank balance and weekly material usage variance - resolving outstanding issues with staff.
• Work with Operators to resolve SAP issues.
• Develop, review and update training aids/work instructions for operators, FLLs and area staff.
• Coordinate with HR and Training for onboarding and establishing security credentials of new employees.
• Attend Safety training courses per Ashland mandates.
• Maintain Area archive system.
• Prepare credit card expense reports monthly.
