Job summary

Elbit Systems of America, LLC in Roanoke, Virginia, is seeking a Product Transition Technician to help establish new product lines by bridging Product Development and Operations. The role conducts engineering tests, designs fixtures, and builds prototypes, performing fault isolation and troubleshooting in complex machines.

Candidates should have an associate degree or equivalent, 5+ years hands-on experience, ability to obtain a security clearance, strong analytical and communication skills, and

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent experience; related experience may substitute.
• 5+ years of related hands-on technical experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Effective interpersonal skills (team player) and trainer.
• Ability to perform process engineering tasks appropriate to experience.
• Soldering Certified or ability to certify.
• Ability to comply with OSHA, EPA, fire regulations, and company policies.
• Lean experience and CAD/PLM tools are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering tests and analyze data to support process development and optimization.
• Troubleshoot processes and equipment, identifying root causes of issues.
• Collaborate with Operations to ensure designs meet cost and manufacturability targets and to schedule use of production equipment.
• Participate in peer reviews and contribute insights on manufacturing capability, potential failure modes, process controls, and process qualification.
