Job summary

Elbit America, Inc. in Roanoke, VA seeks a hands-on engineering technician to assist in daily ops and maintenance of night vision image intensifier manufacturing equipment.

You will spend most of your time interacting with equipment, building tools, and dispositioning non-conforming product. Responsibilities include process optimization, cost-reduction initiatives, and training production staff to improve quality and efficiency; must read procedures and apply Lean and Six Sigma tools to minimize

Qualifications

• Associate degree in an Engineering field or related work experience.
• 2+ years of technical experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical abilities and trouble‑shooting techniques.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• PC proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
• Must have the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to obtain Security Clearance.
• Must be able to comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and Company Policies.
• Able to work an off‑shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily operations and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Optimize manufacturing processes and implement cost reduction opportunities.
• Train production employees to improve work processes and product quality.
• Read, understand and follow procedures; apply Lean and Six Sigma to reduce waste.
• Disposition non-conforming product and support continuous improvement.
