Job summary

Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of HII, plans, develops, and coordinates in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers. It obtains information to prepare training programs, prepares materials, and develops course content, determining the best methodology and coordinating the development of training aids.

Training sessions are conducted and effectiveness is regularly evaluated. Must have a Bachelor's degree with zero years of exempt experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 0 years of exempt experience.
• Equivalency options: NNS Apprentice School graduate; High school plus 5 years in manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades or related non-exempt experience; Navy Nuclear Power School graduate.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, and coordinates in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers.
• Obtains information, prepares training materials, develops course content, determines methodology, and coordinates training aids.
• Conducts training sessions and evaluates the effectiveness of training activities.
• Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and keep technical information up to date.
