Job summary

Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of HII, is seeking a Training Program Developer for its field support and customer training initiatives. This role focuses on planning, content creation, and evaluation of training programs and requires coordinating development of training aids and materials.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and may come from the NNS Apprentice School, Navy Nuclear Power School, or related manufacturing backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 0 years of exempt experience required.
• Equivalent qualifications listed may substitute for the degree.
• Candidates may have Navy Nuclear Power School background.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, and coordinates in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers.
• Obtains information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; coordinates development of training aids.
• Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent

NNS Apprentice School graduate

High school + 5 years combined manufacturing/shipbuilding/military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

Navy Nuclear Power School graduate
