Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) Newport News Shipbuilding seeks a Training Specialist to plan, develop, and coordinate in-house training programs for field personnel and customers. You will obtain information, prepare materials, and coordinate the creation of training aids while delivering sessions and assessing effectiveness.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of exempt experience (Master’s with 1 year also acceptable).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) required with 3+ years exempt experience; Master’s with 1+ year exempt experience accepted.
• Equivalent qualifications accepted: NNS Apprentice School, Navy Nuclear Power School, or high school + 5 years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, and coordinates in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers.
• Obtains information, prepares materials, develops course content, and coordinates training aids.
• Conducts training sessions and evaluates training effectiveness; revises lessons to meet new requirements.
