Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. seeks a Technician I-Product/Test in Austin, TX to join the Timing and Communication Product Group. The role supports product development and testing for SyncE/1588 timing, clock distribution and frequency synthesizers.

You will work with test engineers to procure and maintain lab hardware, run IC test equipment, analyze test data, and write scripts while collaborating across locations in a dynamic, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Electronics required or equivalent
• Experience with lab equipment such as power supplies and oscilloscopes preferred
• Experience with PC board debugging and repair is desirable
• Strong communication and presentation skills; able to work across locations
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

Responsibilities

• Procure, maintain, and repair lab and tester hardware.
• Support testing activities and operation of IC Automated Test Equipment and handlers for sampling, characterization, qualification, and returns.
• Provide statistical analysis of production and engineering test data.
• Analyze product parametric performance relative to datasheet specifications.
• Write and verify test scripts.
• Conduct IC stress evaluations.
