Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a Technician I-Product/Test for the Timing and Communication Product Group. You will work with experienced engineers as an individual contributor on product development and testing for SyncE/1588 timing and frequency synthesizers.

The role focuses on hands-on lab work, testing, data analysis, and script writing in a multi-disciplinary environment across multiple locations. 0-2 years of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Electronics with 0-2 years of industry experience.
• Experience with lab equipment such as power supplies and oscilloscopes.
• Experience with PC board debug and repair.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with MS Office applications: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word.

Responsibilities

• Procure, maintain, and repair lab and tester hardware.
• Support testing activities and operation of IC ATE and handlers for sampling, characterization, and qualification.
• Provide statistical analysis of production and engineering test data.
• Analyze product parametric performance relative to data sheet specifications.
• Write and verify program scripts.
• Conduct IC stress evaluations.
