Samara is seeking a Product Technical Lead to own technical programs from concept to production. You will coordinate structural, MEP, and envelope systems, ensuring constructability and manufacturability. You’ll lead BIM workflows and work with the Design team and PM to resolve challenges during scale‑up.

You will report to the Director of Product Engineering and guide engineering decisions across Samara’s innovative housing programs in California.

Qualifications

BS/MS in architecture, architectural engineering, structural or mechanical engineering.
Professional licensure preferred.
Demonstrated design-for-manufacturability, prototyping, and risk analysis experience.

Responsabilités

Lead the technical development from concept through production across multiple disciplines.
Integrate structural, MEP, and envelope designs into a coordinated model.
Develop BIM workflows and collaborate with internal teams and consultants.
Translate product requirements into clear engineering requirements and narratives.
Manage BOMs, configuration, and change control for releases.
Assess technical risk and maintain verification evidence for production readiness.
Ensure interfaces, tolerances, and buildability of the engineering package.
Guide prototyping and first-article builds, feeding learnings into production design.
