Ideal candidates have 3+ years in tax compliance, research, and regulatory monitoring, plus experience communicating requirements to stakeholders and handling tax-related software processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in tax compliance, payroll tax, tax research, or a related field.
• Experience researching, interpreting, and applying federal, state, provincial, or local tax regulations.
• Experience monitoring tax regulatory or legislative changes and assessing their impact.
• Experience documenting and communicating tax requirements to internal or external stakeholders.
• Professional experience with tax-related processes, systems, or software.

Responsibilities

• Use general payroll tax knowledge for payroll tax updates and regulations within your assigned jurisdictions/zones.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with decision makers at tax agencies.
• Actively participate in industry-related meetings and subcommittees on behalf of the organization.
• Conduct comprehensive research with minimal guidance and maintain knowledge of payroll tax agency compliance requirements.
• Track daily updates on compliance mandates and adjust withholding forms and year-end reporting as needed.
• Communicate complex compliance requirements to internal and external stakeholders clearly.
• Document payroll tax agency requirements for reference across UKG.
• Analyze changes and create documentation for product and development teams.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure UKG processes stay compliant with agency requirements.
• Negotiate outcomes with tax agencies aligned with UKG's goals.
• Respond to JIRA, escalations, and research requests from internal teams.
