Job Overview

Join Komatsu as a Product Support Sales Representative, where you'll be at the forefront of supporting product support and crushing equipment parts sales across the United States. This role emphasizes the sales of crushing parts and service, and involves working closely with the Product Support Manager and local service department to address customer needs and enhance service delivery by actively promoting sales of parts and services. You will establish and nurture relationships within your assigned territory, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor and key communicator. Successful candidates will demonstrate a proactive mindset, strong sense of urgency, and a detailed approach to follow-ups, with a minimum of two years’ experience in the heavy equipment industry.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Identify and expand opportunities for parts and service sales among assigned customers to drive revenue growth across product lines, including consumables, service repairs, and remanufacturing.
• Prepare comprehensive parts and service estimates that clearly communicate value to customers.
• Enhance the company’s service presence through a thorough understanding of each assigned customer’s fleet needs, enabling customized solutions.
• Maintain up-to-date customer information in CRM systems.
• Apply knowledge of crushing equipment to support and promote sales effectively.
• Proactively market current parts sales and marketing initiatives, presenting new and used opportunities to clients.
• Implement a systematic contact schedule and document all customer interactions in CRM to ensure thorough coverage of all accounts.
• Conduct routine on‑site machine inspections and walk‑around assessments, presenting findings to customers and promoting KOMATSU Technical Services.
• Educate customers on product support technology and provide hands‑on training as required.
• Offer assistance during non‑standard hours for emergency needs, demonstrating commitment and reliability.
• Manage customer expectations effectively, balancing scheduling logistics and parts availability against the urgency of needs.
• Oversee collections and purchase order management to ensure smooth operational flows.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a customer‑facing sales role.
• At least 2 years in the construction/mining equipment industry.
• Associate degree or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school preferred, or a combination of formal education and 6+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Preferable background of heavy equipment parts and service sales experience along with technical repair knowledge.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude with proficiency in machine evaluation.
• Proven expertise in sales techniques, with the ability to influence and close deals.
• Show self‑motivation and a drive for excellence, contributing positively both individually and as part of a team.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record for site visits and customer engagement.
• Willingness to undergo background checks, drug screenings, and physical testing to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Capable of reading, writing, and communicating effectively in English, enabling clear exchanges with diverse clientele.
