Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking Product Support Interns for the Aeronautics Sector Intern Program in Palmdale, San Diego, Redondo Beach, or El Segundo, CA. You will support engineers, gather data, and help resolve customer issues while developing documentation and training materials.

The program emphasizes root cause analysis, data-driven improvements, and collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams. A strong STEM background and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate STEM degree and graduating after August 2027.
• Major in a STEM field.
• Available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).

Responsibilities

• Support Product Support Engineers in investigating and resolving customer-reported issues, including data gathering, troubleshooting, and documenting findings.
• Assist with root cause analysis and corrective action activities, preparing clear summaries and updates for internal stakeholders.
• Help create, update, and maintain technical documentation, work instructions, and training materials for product support.
• Analyze field performance and reliability data to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for product or process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain) to support implementation of product changes and service bulletins.
• Participate in customer support activities such as preparing presentation materials, tracking open issues, and updating status reports in designated tools/systems
