Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking Interns, Technical Editor & Writer to join the Aeronautics Sector Intern Program. This internship will be located in Palmdale, Redondo Beach, El Segundo, or San Diego, CA, and focuses on creating and editing technical documents for diverse audiences.

As an intern, you will write and edit manuals, collaborate with engineers, review content for accuracy, and support visuals with diagrams and charts, while gaining exposure to aerospace documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree and graduating after August 2027.
• Major in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Linguistics, or related field.
• Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Write, rewrite, and edit technical documents for diverse audiences.
• Collaborate with engineers to gather and validate content from specifications and drawings.
• Observe production methods and system performance to develop user-focused documentation.
• Coordinate and oversee development of illustrative materials to support content.
• Perform quality reviews to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to standards.
