Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a Product Support Engineer intern for the Aeronautics Systems Intern Program, based in Melbourne, FL. The role involves hands-on engineering tasks, collaboration with users, customers and developers, and participation in a structured summer internship to develop competencies across various engineering specializations.

Ideal candidates are enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate program with a STEM focus, available for at least 10 weeks in summer 2027, and

Qualifications

• Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university AND graduating after August 2027.
• Majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related STEM field.
• Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
• Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).

Responsibilities

• Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems.
• Work from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
• Operate related equipment; conduct tests and report data in prescribed format.
• Perform calibration and alignment checks; make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
• Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions.
